Understanding Milk Products
Hooray! You can have the dairy products you love and still lower your cholesterol! A simple switch to low-fat and fat-free milk products makes eating the rich, creamy milk products you love satisfying and heart-healthy. If you use whole milk (3.5% fat) products, you may find it easier to taper off slowly. Try low-fat, 1% fat milk first, then change to 1/2% fat milk. Soon you'll be able to switch to fat-free milk with no trouble.
